Olympic Peninsula Dance presents the Kitsap band Malo Combo, playing acoustic latin and swing music on Friday, December 13 at the Port Townsend Elks Lodge.
The Malo Combo keeps hips swiveling on the Kitsap peninsula and in the South Puget Sound area with the intimate sounds of acoustic guitar and latin percussion. Friday night, December 13, Malo Castro will bring his congas, timbales and bongos north for a rare visit to Port Townsend adding rhythmic spice to the quintet's passionate music from Cuba and Puerto Rico. Malo's natural feel for rhythm and knowledge of dance translates directly to the dance floor and gets people moving.
There will be a free (with admission) dance lesson by Malo Castro in Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata at 7:00 pm. Experienced dancers are encouraged to come help beginners. No partner or registration is necessary.
This is a smoke-free dance open to all ages.
Admission: Adults $15; disabled or student with school ID $10; age 12 and under $7.
