Jim Nyby and the "F" Street BandOlympic Peninsula Dance features Jim Nyby & the F Street Band on Friday, January 17 at the Elks Lodge, 555 Otto Street in Port Townsend. The band was originally formed in 2005 to raise funds for survivors of Hurricane Katrina and, with their loyal local following, has proven to be one of Port Townsend's favorite bands.

You'll be mixing it up on the dance floor to New Orleans Rhythm n' Blues, Swing, Latin style, Chicago Shuffle, Roots and that old-time 50’s and 60’s Rock n’ Roll; featuring Jim Nyby on the piano and vocals, Bruce Cannavaro on bass, Joy Qualey and Daniel Neville on saxophones, Kurt Munnich on drums and Bill Kiely on percussion.

There will be a free (with admission) dance lesson in 'Smooth Lindy' at 7:00 pm.  Experienced dancers are encouraged to come help beginners. No partner or registration is necessary.

This is a smoke-free dance open to all ages.

Admission: Adults $15; disabled or student with school ID $10; age 12 and under $7.
