Rachael and Barry BandRachael Jorgensen & Barry Burnett have performed together for the last three years both as a duo and as the four-piece band that will be performing for this dance. The band is rounded-out by an outstanding rhythm section including Tom Svornich on drums and Paul Stehr-Green on bass.

The band clearly loves and respects the classic Pop & Soul music of the ‘50s and ’60s. Their interpretations are sensitive postcards to the passion and poetry of the music of the Golden Age of American Pop. Their performance will include songs from Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochrin, Al Green, the Beatles, Beach Boys, Aretha Franklin, and many others.

While Rachael, originally from South Dakota, favors the classic songs from Motown, Barry grew up with several classic rock and roll bands from his old South Seattle neighborhood. They both lean toward songs with vocal harmony and memorable lyrics and love to see people dance and sing along with their songs. They've been performing at various venues around the north Olympic peninsula including the Junction in Port Angeles and the Port Townsend Brewing Co.

There will be a free (with admission) dance lesson by Tom Fairhall and Jean Bettanny in "The Hustle, New York Style" at 7:00 pm.  Experienced dancers are encouraged to come help beginners. No partner or registration is necessary.

This is a smoke-free dance open to all ages.

Admission: Adults $15; disabled or student with school ID $10; age 12 and under $7.
