Stickshift Annie with Kimball and the Fugitives Play for Olympic Peninsula Dance November 19th
Red-hot blues and swing dancing come to the Port Townsend Elks on Friday, November 19 from 8 to 11 p.m. with a visit from the Seattle powerhouse band, Stickshift Annie with Kimball and the Fugitives. The dance, which is open to all, is sponsored by Olympic Penninsula Dance.

Muma to Teach Two Tango Workshops at the Quimper Grange May 28th

MUMA is a tango teacher and dancer of enormous experience. Born in Buenos Aires, she has taught with the best milongueros of her generation including Ricardo Vidort, considered one of the best milongueros of his time, and Dani ‘Flaco’ Garcia, one of the outstanding milonga dancers in Buenos Aires. She is coming to the USA to transfer her accumulated knowledge, including Ricardo’s walk and musicality. MUMA will teach us with the subtle moves of her own body the feeling she had when dancing with Vidort.
An Elegant Evening of Waltz, Tango, Swing, Etc. in Port Angeles May 19th
The Port Angeles High School Orchestra will be performing at Carnegie Hall (yes, THE Carnegie Hall in NYC) in 2013. This is a chance to dance to their music and help raise funds for the trip.
At 7:00pm local dance instructors Steve Johnson and Carol Hathaway will teach an introduction to waltz class. From 8:00pm until 10:00pm, the orchestra will play ballroom music.
There will be a silent auction during the event, and light refreshments served throughout the evening. Elegant attire is encouraged.
Tango Milonga at Manresa Castle May 5th
Entrance is $7. Food and drink available in the lounge.
Authentic Argentine Tango with traditional tango music and dance format.
Free admission with a special birthday dance to anyone celebrating a birthday in April.

Milonga at the Quimper Grange April 21st
The monthly Buenos Aires style Milonga at Port Townsend's cozy Quimper Grange. DJ John Gair will be playing tandas of the best classic tango music by both the traditional and evolutionary orchestras of the Golden Age.
Emphasis is given to the importance of line of dance and respect for other dancers. The atmosphere is intimate and friendly with table seating. There is food to nibble on and socializing is encouraged.

Argentine Tango Lessons in Port Angeles
A new six lesson series of beginning Argentine tango lessons will start Wednesday April 11 at 6:45 pm. This class will be offered to all ages and levels of dance experience. No partner or previous dance experience is required. Please bring non-scuffing shoes to protect the dance floor. At 7:45 pm, a class for students familiar with basic tango skills will be offered.
Evening practicas are held on the first, third and fourth Mondays, 7 - 9 pm.
We also offer a monthly milonga.
